About
I’m a senior software engineer at Box, based in Pacifica, California. Over a decade at the company I’ve moved from customer-facing developer support into internal tooling, enterprise workflow product, and AI experiences — always close to how real systems get integrated and used.
That path still shapes how I work. I care about clear contracts, reproducible failures, and the translation layer between ambiguous product needs and something a team can ship. I’ve spent a lot of time on REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication quirks, and the tooling that makes those surfaces easier for other engineers to use.
What I’m focused on
Recently that’s meant building services and UI for Box AI — including the Prompt Library backend — and coordinating cross-team work on skills integrations. Before that, I spent years on Box Relay, Forms, and Sign: shared validation, feature entitlements, rollout flags, and editor experiences that let customers automate work.
How I got here
I studied economics at UCLA, then learned to build for the web at Dev Bootcamp. Early roles at Oracle and Apple taught me enterprise customers and careful shipping. At Box I started in developer support — roughly fifteen API and auth cases a week — and turned recurring JWT confusion into box-tokener, a published CLI and tutorial. That habit of turning friction into reusable tools has stayed with me.
Outside of work
I write technical notes on this site when something is worth making durable. Away from the keyboard: basketball, history podcasts, and enough YouTube to admit it on a personal page.
